Dynamics NAV is a popular Microsoft product that is used for resource planning, project management, and customer relationship management. MS Dynamics Nav is described by Microsoft as an enterprise resource planning (ERP) software product, and is well known for its flexible nature and ability to be used in a wide range of situations.

Dynamics NAV gives administrators a number of options in terms of management and customisation, with the option of using either a native database server or a Microsoft SQL server as the database management system. While the newer SQL system offers a number of advantages in terms of speed and large database sizes, it requires more maintenance than the classic native database model. With a mature development cycle, flexible customisations, and easy integration with other MS products, Dynamics NAV is likely to become even more popular in the years to come.
